Nestled in the Shenandoah Valley at the foot of the Shenandoah National Park, the Mare House at Hawksbill Retreat is the largest rental cabin at our new facility. Housing up to 8 guests, the Mare House offers three bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The Mare House is perfect for multi-family family gatherings or for families needing accommodations for up to 8. The three bedrooms include a full bathroom, fireplace and private deck access. All bedrooms have a queen size , are fully furnished, and provide a TV and DVD player. A queen size sleeper sofa located in the Living Room offers additional sleeping arrangements. The Living Room also boasts a fireplace and large flat screen LCD TV. Outside, the Mare House includes a covered wrap around porch furnished with rocking chairs and a large gas grill. The adjoining open deck holds a deluxe six seat Hot Tub. In the yard is a fire pit, and log bench seating, each made to bring the views and serenity of the Shenandoah Valley and Shenandoah National Park to you. The Mare House has a waterfront view of a 1 acre stocked, fishing pond and gorgeous shared gazebo, which can be used for private functions. There are over 2 miles of hiking trails on property and across the from the property is a public Olympic size swimming pool at Hawksbill Recreational Park.
